The Heart You Keep, a companion app by CRW Cardio Consulting LLC
Last updated: July 30, 2026
The short version: The Heart You Keep keeps everything you enter on your own device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or have access to any of your information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application The Heart You Keep (the “App”), published by CRW Cardio Consulting LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles your information. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
None. We do not collect any personal or health information from you. The App has no user accounts and no server. Everything you type, blood pressure readings, blood sugar, symptoms, medications, appointments, notes, photos, your name, and any other entries, is stored only in the App’s local storage on your device and never leaves it except by an action you take yourself (see “Sharing,” below).
The health-related information you record is deeply personal, and we have designed the App so that we never see it. It is not sent to us, to any cloud service, or to any third party. We hold no copy of it and cannot retrieve, view, or restore it. Because the data lives on your device, protecting your device (a passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and device encryption) is the primary way your information stays private.
The App contains no analytics tools, no advertising, no marketing trackers, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs) that would gather data about you. We do not use cookies or device identifiers to profile you, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
If you turn on medication or check-in reminders, those notifications are scheduled and deliveredlocally on your device. Their content is not sent to us or to any server.
The App includes features that let you share your own information, such as generating a summary to show your doctor or exporting a backup file. When you use these, your device’s standard share options (for example, Messages, Mail, or AirDrop) handle the content, and it goes only where you send it. We are not involved in and have no access to those transfers. Anything you share this way may be stored by the service or person you send it to, outside our control.
Two specifics worth knowing. When you tap a “copy” option, such as Copy for My Doctor, your readings are placed on your device’s clipboard so you can paste them where you want. Other apps on your device may be able to read the clipboard, which is a function of your device rather than of this App. And when you create an encrypted backup, the file is protected by a password you choose; we never receive that password or the file, and neither we nor anyone else can unlock or recover it for you if the password is lost.
Calls and outside links. The App can open your phone's dialer, for example to call your own doctor, a support line, or 911, and it can open outside websites such as the resource organizations it lists. Those calls and those websites are handled by your device and by organizations we do not control, and they are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, not by this Policy.
Your phone's own backup. If you back up your phone to iCloud or to a computer, that backup includes this App's information along with your other apps' data. This is a function of your device and your Apple account settings, not something the App does, and we have no access to it at any point. You can turn backup off for individual apps in your device Settings. We mention it because the App keeps your information on your device and we do not want that to be read as a promise that a copy cannot exist anywhere else.
Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete all of your data at any time from within the App (My Health → Privacy). Deleting the App from your device also removes its data. We retain nothing, because we never receive anything.
The App is intended for adults managing their own health and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone (and, as noted, we do not collect information at all).
Your information never travels to us, which removes the risks associated with servers and data transmission. On-device data is protected by your device’s own security. We recommend enabling a device passcode, biometric lock, and full-device encryption, and using the App’s optional PIN. Note also that the App's optional PIN is a screen lock, not encryption: it keeps the App's contents out of view, while the information itself is protected by your device's own encryption rather than by the PIN. If you forget the PIN it cannot be recovered or reset by anyone, including us; the only way back into the App is to erase its data and start again.
Who else can see it. Because your information lives on your phone, anyone with access to your unlocked phone may be able to view it, and in some circumstances information stored on a personal device can be requested through legal processes. If your personal safety is a concern, please consider who has access to your device, use the App's optional PIN, and remember that “Delete all my data” is available at any time.
The App is an educational and personal-journaling tool based on published clinical guidelines. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Always follow your own care team’s instructions. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the hospital.
This App is not a HIPAA-covered service. HIPAA governs health-care providers, health plans and their business associates handling your records; it does not apply here, because the App holds your information on your own device and we never receive it. Using the App does not make us your health-care provider, and information you keep in it is not part of your medical record unless you choose to share it with your care team.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here on this page.
One commitment does not change by editing this page. The App collects nothing today, and we will not begin collecting, transmitting, or receiving your information through a revision to this Policy. If we ever offer a feature that involves sharing data with us, it would be a separate, clearly described choice that you actively opt in to, and declining it would leave the App working exactly as it does now.
